• 격음화 (Aspiration) — ㅎ과 예사소리(ㄱㄷㅂㅈ)가 만나 거센소리(ㅋㅌㅍㅊ)가 돼요.
• 구개음화 (Palatalization) — 받침 ㄷ·ㅌ 뒤에 "이"가 오면 ㅈ·ㅊ 소리로 바뀌어요.
• 받침규칙 (Final Consonant Rule) — 받침 ㅅㅆㅈㅊㅌㅎ 등은 단어 끝이나 자음 앞에서 ㄷ(또는 ㄱ·ㅂ) 소리로 바뀌어요.
